Ms. Sonya Shelton is a Lead Consultant at Plus Delta Consulting, LLC. Ms. Sonya Shelton specializes in organization development and strategic communications and works closely with her clients to develop effective strategies that inform, align, and engage employees and stakeholder audiences in their change efforts.

Ms. Shelton has extensive experience supporting process improvement, business transformation, system implementations, and human resources initiatives. Some of her project highlights include:

• Partnered with senior leadership to conduct communications assessments to determine message effectiveness of organizational goals and created strategies for improvement.
• Led stakeholder management, communications, and employee engagement strategy during an SAP implementation and continuous improvement project.
• Developed and executed change communications strategies for multiple HR process implementations including performance management and talent planning efforts.
• Developed crisis communication strategy and plans including process, themes, and messages designed to respond quickly and effectively during an emergency.
• Created global communications strategic framework, themes, and processes to increase communication effectiveness and employee engagement throughout the organization.

Ms. Shelton holds a Master of Science degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Magazine Journalism. She is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators and the Council of Communication Management as well as the recipient of numerous Publication Excellence awards in writing, design, Intranet, and publication categories.

Prior to joining Plus Delta, Ms. Shelton served as Director of Employee Communications at The Walt Disney Company. She has more than 20 years communications and publishing experience working internally and externally with various US and international companies across a wide range of industries.
